2 Days in London Itinerary – Most up-to-date Information

If you’re in London just for a short pit stop for just two days, fret not! I’ve got an itinerary set up for all the fun things to do when you visit London.

Firstly the best news is that Canadians can visit London without a visa, so it’s a great place to stopover on your way to your final destination.

To utilize your 2 days in London to the maximum, make sure that you have an organized schedule ahead of you and always remain vigilant of the time.

If you’re going to land at Gatwick Airport and want to get express access, then Hilton London Gatwick Airport at it’s best.  You don’t need to leave the airport, get ample time to stretch out on that comfy bed before you explore London city, connected with London Tube and Gatwick express train, no extra Uber ride required, and located at South Terminal via a covered walkway.

Start off by familiarizing yourself with the London Tube, a gigantic network of trains that connects almost all parts of the city. Keep train schedules saved on your phone and try to buy tickets online beforehand so you can avoid the crowd at ticketing booths.

Most international transits are at Heathrow and once you exit the airport you can begin to discover London. In such a short visit, you should aim to visit all the iconic spots or the London highlights.

DAY – 1 Itinerary

Start off by visiting Notting Hill, its quaint, charming and oozes old-school London vibes. Colorful buildings line the street and quirky businesses are open all along the route.

Kensington Palace, Kensington Garden, and Hyde Park

Remember to visit Kensington Palace
and take a few pictures with its grand exterior and stroll along in Kensington Garden admiring the picturesque views. Right next to the Kensington Garden is the world-famous Hyde Park which is a must-visit for every tourist.

DAY – 2 Itinerary

Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, and Big Ben

Go to the Victoria Station and hop on a train to Buckingham Palace and bask in the shadow of royalty. Trafalgar Square is just a short walking distance from the Palace and features many statues and monuments important to British history. Westminster Abbey is in close proximity to Trafalgar Square, take a moment to pay your respects to some of the greatest British poets and scientists.

Another short bus ride will take you to the legendary Big Ben as well as the London Eye, where you can see the gorgeous bird’s eye view of London. End your first day in London by visiting the many shops in Central London and grab a bite to eat. Wash off your tiredness at the hotel and begin the second day of your short journey to London.

Take the tube to the iconic Tower Bridge and Tower of London, a staple of the London skyline ever since its construction. From there, visit the London Bridge and cruise down the River Thames to view the City Hall. The Museum of London is a short distance from the bridge and is an excellent place for both art and history lovers.

St. Pauls’ Cathedral

The British Museum is another exceptional modern museum that is the pride of London. The art lovers, as well as religious tourists, should visit the St. Pauls’ Cathedral as it boasts soaring beams, columns and beautiful art along with the interior. London is the capital that is the gateway to Europe; brimming full of life and exciting cultures mixing under the London sun.
